Authorized taxis, buses, and rental cars offer the most convenient ways to get from the Cancún International Airport to Puerto Aventuras. Transportation options and ticket booths are found as soon as you exit the airport. Authorized group taxi to Puerto Aventuras for two to nine people: more than $60 USD. You can arrange for an authorized group taxi to Puerto Aventuras: more than $90 USD per trip for two to nine people. There is a direct bus line to Playa del Carmen from Cancún International Airport: $5–$15 USD. Once you arrive at the bus station you can take a taxi to your hotel: less than $5 USD. Car rentals Rental cars can be picked up at the airport or in the city of Cancún and are available through this Web site: more than $36 USD. Prices subject to change without advanced notice. Getting around: The hotel is located 10 minutes south of Playa del Carmen in Puerto Aventuras and north of the Mayan ruins of Xcaret and Tulum. Terracotta floors, stone tables, and wicker chairs provide a casual welcome to the groups and families who come to the resort for its full slate of activities and all-inclusive amenities. A second-story open-air lobby bar provides a spacious area for afternoon drinks, while the main pool area bustles with activity. Four-story thatched-roof buildings house the resort’s guestrooms. Amenity highlights: The resort’s private white-sand beach borders clear waters teeming with tropical sea life. Five restaurants, four bars, and a lively nightclub are also available for guests’ pleasure. The hotel’s theater stages nightly shows, including a Mexican folkloric ballet. There’s even a mini-disco as part of the children’s club. Insider tip: The Puerto Aventuras Golf Club, located across the street and home to a 19-hole course, provides special rates for hotel guests. A coral reef lies just offshore, creating a shallow lagoon area perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The resort has one outdoor tennis court (not lighted) and provides complimentary racquets and balls. The activities center stocks kayaks, snorkeling gear, table games, and other equipment. Three golf courses are within a 10-minute drive of the Cameleon Marival. The Puerto Aventuras Golf Club, across the street, gives special rates to guests. The Puerto Aventuras Marina, a five-minute walk from the resort, is home to a boat launch, fishing charters, and a variety of restaurants and nightclubs.
